As I mentioned yesterday, I finally got my business cards from the printer last week and I’m over the moon about them! Allie did an incredible job and I’m so happy that I decided to bite the bullet and get them letterpress printed. It’s a process that is quite time consuming and a lot more expensive than regular printing, but the outcome is so unique and beautiful that it’s worth it. The letterpress leaves impressions on the surface of the card, creating something that is very tactile. Each card to me feels like a little piece of art.
What do you think? Letterpress is something you really can’t enjoy from a picture, it’s something you need to experience in person and be able to touch. Once we’re open, feel free to stop by and ask for a card…and do some shopping while you’re at it:) We used BoxCar Press for the printing and they were wonderful to work with from start to finish. For those interested in learning more about the printing process, this post would be good to check out.
